Romney Campaign Staff Laptops, iPads Stolen
Two members of Mitt Romney’s staff had their laptops and iPads stolen last week in San Diego, Channel 10 News reported.
According to the report, Romney’s body man Garrett Jackson and a fellow campaign aide left their rented SUV in a parking garage when they went to get something to eat during a weekend off in San Diego. When they returned, they found someone had stolen all their belongings including two iPads, and two laptops with information about Romney’s Presidential campaign.
Police told Channel 10 News that there was no sign of forced entry and they are not sure if the Romney campaign aides were targeted or if the robbery was random.
Romney spokesman Ryan Williams told the local news the burglary was “unfortunate and an inconvenience” but that he was not concerned about sensitive information being stolen.
