Scientists Are Getting Closer To Creating The Invisibility Cloak From ‘Harry Potter’ (Video)
University of Rochester scientists are working to make the world a little more magical with the help of advancements in cloaking technology.
Just as Harry Potter sported his invisibility cloak, researchers are working to cloak visible objects. Using special lenses, the scientists are able hide hands, furniture and anything else that stays still long enough.
One day, surgeons may even be able to look through their own hands while operating, according to developer John Howell.
And while the cloaking lenses aren’t wearable just yet, there’s no limit to how much they can hide from sight. All that matters is the scale of the lens.
