Scientists Are So Bored, They’re Secretly Hiding Bob Dylan Lyrics In Their Articles
Science is boring. There’s no way around that. It’s an immutable law of nature, just like the sky is blue or children are idiots.
It started 17 years ago, when Professors Eddie Weitzberg and John Jundberg wrote an article about farts called, “Nitric Oxide and inflammation: The answer is blowing in the wind.”
First of all, awesome. Second, ever since then, Weitzberg, Jundberg and three others have been competing with one another to see who can place the most Dylan lyrics in their writings.
The person with the most lyrics in their work when the first of the bunch retires wins the bet.
Professor Weitzberg made sure to mention that,
We’re not talking about scientific papers – we could have got in trouble for that – but rather articles we have written about research by others, book introductions, editorials and things like that.
Oh, well. A little bit of Dylan is better than no Dylan at all.
