Guy Gets Exes To Write Reviews Of Him, With One Amazing Result
We thought that the barrel of ideas for standing out on Tinder was empty but one man has only gone and changed it all up again. Jake Chapman beefed up his profile with reviews from his exes and the whole fact-finding process took this story somewhere so left-field that not even he could have foreseen it coming.
It all started, like most stories that have a pungent air of alcohol about them, at 1am. Jake started to text his ex girlfriends to ask for reviews.
Jake, the shy and retiring character that he appears to be, posted about his experiment on Reddit.
“I’ve been taking dating a little to serious lately. So I decided to ask my ex-girlfriends at 1am to write a 1-2 sentence review about me for my Tinder profile and rate me 1-5 stars. Worked out exactly as I thought it would. 1 ex won’t stop texting me now, and the others hate me even more then when they left to begin with. But hey, at least my matches are blowing up baha.”
Some of his exes were happy to comply, some weren’t. Jake didn’t seem to be too strict on the editing process though. He uploaded the reviews onto his Tinder profile.
Turns out Jake has a forgetful side. He had forgotten all about Taylor, another previous flame of his. Taylor caught wind of the experiment and was keen to join the party.
“::UPDATE:: After seeing the image on Twitter and Facebook one of my exes that I left, Taylor decided she was hurt that I didn’t think of her and decided to text me her review which has now been added to the profile…
Taylor gives a 4 1/2 Star review. She says. “He’s got a job, condo, dog, fast car, can cook, good with his hands and is a complete sweet heart. The only thing keeping me from trying to be with him is 1,155 miles”
Oh Taylor, what a generous reviewer she is.
Taylor was attached when she and Jake first got in touch. But after a few hours, he says, he received a surprising message from her. “Less then 3 hours after Taylor writing her review about me and telling me she has a boyfriend, I get this,” Jake wrote.
Wow. She is on the wind up right? You don’t just go and break up with your current boyfriend after a bout of ex-induced nostalgia, an ex who is over a thousand miles away. Nah, she’s taking you for a right dry-lunch Jake.
Or maybe not. Jake woke up to this picture message.
Jake’s success story has inspired others, and now loads of guys are trying the same stunt.
Is this the start of one of the most romantic stories of 2015? Or is it a trigger for thousands of girls to start getting annoying texts from their exes, only time will tell.
