A murderer serving a 50-year sentence is suing the state of Connecticut over the prison’s ban on porn.

Dwight Pink Jr., 40, was locked up at the Cheshire Correctional Institution for participating in the killing of a 35-year-old father of two in 1998.

He believes that it is his constitutional right, however, to view a book he requested called “Art Models 7.”

The instructional text presents naked men and women for aspiring artists looking to draw them.

Pink’s request was denied under a 2012 law banning printed material containing sexual activity or nudity, according to WFSB.

But the inmate claims the denial is a violation of his right to freedom of speech.

The state responded to the lawsuit on Monday, issuing a statement that defended the rule as it doesn’t harm Pink in any way and looking at naked people while incarcerated has nothing to do with free speech.

Pink’s lawsuit also asks for a refund of his attorney fees and $25,000, though the basis behind both requests is so far undisclosed.
